Barron Trump has refused to serve as an at-large delegate for Florida at the Republican National Convention, the Daily Mail reported.
The Florida Republican Party has selected President Trump’s 18-year-old son as its candidate for his first foray into politics ahead of his May 17 high school graduation ceremony. A spokesperson for former first lady Melania Trump said Barron was declining the role “due to prior commitments.” according to to the Daily Mail.
“Mr. Barron is honored to be selected as a representative for the Republican Party of Florida, but unfortunately due to prior commitments he will not be participating,” a spokesperson said.
