Anthony Kim is throwing a pie in Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee’s face for flipping out at LIV Golf.
Kim, who made a successful return to professional golf earlier this year after taking a 12-year hiatus to compete on the upstart LIV Tour, posted to X on Friday, calling Chamblee all sorts of names and calling him hypocritical.
“Rumble Chamblee @chambleebrandel, it’s awful how you’re punching 4 people in the chest and then never retreating and hypocritically telling us to retreat,” Kim tweeted.
“It’s no secret that this talentless idiot is hated by most in the golf world. Are you still going to cover golf if @livgolf_league is involved?”
Mr. Chamblee, who had been one of the biggest hawks to criticize those who took large deposits from LIV, which was backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), changed his tune and announced that the PGA Tour and LIV Encouraged mergers.
“The PGA Tour is in this predicament whether you like it or not, but you’re not going away, do you want to compete with someone (LIV Golf) who can outspend you (PIF)?” Chan said. Brees said on Golf Channel earlier this week.
“Every move they make to make the tour better will remove your tour and cause further division within the tour. So now is the time, if Rory says let’s get a deal done a year in advance. I wouldn’t have said that then…but this is a better end to the deal.”
