Chicago police announced Tuesday morning that a 13-year-old girl was shot and killed by her car owner after he allegedly tried to steal her car.

The bullet hit the girl on the “right side of her body” and she was taken to the hospital, where her condition is “stable.”
CBS News talked along with the owner’s sister, who police say fired shots at the suspected car thief. Her sister said, “We caught two young children stealing a car and breaking into it.” They broke through the window. ”
