Years later, while attending a Kitten Rescue event in Los Angeles, Cosgrove recalled meeting a woman who had accidentally become the target of a stalker.

“This girl came up to me and said, ‘I don’t know if I should talk about this or how to say this, but actually, I’m the girl who was in your house and got shot.’ ,” Cosgrove told Bustle.

“She seemed to process things the same way I did.”

After turning 30, Cosgrove told Bustle that her “big goal” was “to find a place where I feel really safe, to start a new chapter.” But Cosgrove hasn’t found it yet, he said.
