A California mother who lost her son to a stray bullet has renewed calls for the ouster of Soros-funded far-left Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price over her lenient attitude toward criminals amid a spike in violence. Fighting efforts.
Florence McCrary lost her 22-year-old son, Terrence McCrary Jr., in 2016, and ever since then she has been fighting for justice on his son’s behalf. She joined “Fox & Friends Weekend” to discuss why she thinks Price should be removed from his post after the suspect who killed her son last year suddenly had murder charges dropped.
“I was completely shocked,” McCrary told co-host Pete Hegseth on Sunday. “It was hard to believe that the fight that had taken more than six years to get to this point had come to nothing, and as I sat in the courtroom and learned from the judge, I knew this was the best thing we could do. Is it best when you know your child will go out one night and not come home and you still have to bury him?”
“And the emotions of those in the administration who are working to help fight for the people have been of no use,” she continued. “They completely destroyed his life. It was very traumatic.”

CBS News Bay Area reported that murder suspect Otis Wyatt was “indicted on both murder charges under former Alameda County District Attorney Nancy O’Malley.” But in November, “Price’s office reached an agreement with the gunman on charges of voluntary manslaughter for the murder of Fletcher Cooks. The murder charge against McCrary’s son was completely dropped.”
Ms McCrary said she was unfortunately not the only mother affected by Price’s decriminalization policies and that many other mothers were being forced to deal with similar, upending situations as a result. Told.

“They’re all going through a very similar set of circumstances, or many, in that they’re not only dealing with fear, but their cases almost go to nothing and they don’t get a day in court.” said McCrary. He said. “There’s this idea that we did our best. So what is best? How do you spend 21 years of your life serving time in prison and allowing someone to do it alongside other crimes?” Do you want to start watching?”
“You know criminals who are hoping that they will receive leniency as a result,” she continued.
Violent crime in Oakland is up 11% since the beginning of the year, according to Oakland Police. According to the New York Post, robberies in Oakland alone rose 34% in the first three months of this year compared to 2023.
Mr. Hegseth asked Mr. McCrary whether he thought residents understood how dangerous the community was under Mr. Price’s leadership.
“I think they recognize that. That’s why the public has spoken out,” she responded. “So… with this many signatures, we are now moving towards a special election to further amplify our voices and prove through the voting system that she needs to be removed from office.”
