Kristen Welker is expanding her family, revealing that she and her husband are expecting their second child through surrogacy.

The couple’s daughter Margot was born in June 2021.
“If you had told me five years ago that I would be the mother of a beautiful baby girl and that my second child would be on the way, I would not have believed it, because it has been such a long journey,” Welker said Tuesday. .
She added that she “always wanted two children” as she is an only child.
Welker and Hughes called their surrogate an “angel on earth” and revealed that Margot will soon have a baby brother at home.
“I need advice on being a parent to boys!” Welker, who was named host of “Meet the Press” last year, said with a laugh.
Guthrie quipped about the timing of the birth of Welker and Hughes’ son, who is due in the next few weeks.
“We have a big election season coming up, and it’s not until November,” Guthrie said. “So I guess this baby actually knew when it was coming.”
