Michael Cohen has completed his second day of intense cross-examination by former President Trump’s lawyer, Todd Blanche. The proceedings in the hush money trial have become increasingly heated as the defense tries to paint Cohen as a liar.
Cohen is expected to be the last witness for the prosecution in the historic trial, which has continued into its fourth week. Cross-examination is expected to conclude on Monday morning, and the next hearing will be held.
Lawyers indicated before the day’s trial ended Thursday that both sides could drop the case as early as next Tuesday. It has not yet been announced whether Trump himself plans to testify.
