Alaska State Police said in a news release Saturday that a dive team recovered two bodies from a submerged plane in an Alaska lake.
Alaska State Troopers have recovered the bodies of two men from a plane that was found submerged and upside down in Six Mile Lake. The incident occurred near the Athabascan community of Nondalton, about 320 miles southwest of Anchorage, and was reported to Alaska State Police late Friday. according to Go to press release.
“Alaska State Troopers received a report of an upside-down aircraft at Six Mile Lake near Nondalton,” Alaska State Police said in a statement. “Search teams located Dave Hejars, 58, and Aaron Fryer, 45, deceased on board the aircraft. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.”

The hometown of the deceased was not disclosed, but the families of Mr. Hejars and Mr. Fryer have been notified, the news release said. After recovery, the body will be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Anchorage for further examination.
