Iranians are being asked to pray for President Ebrahim Raisi’s safety after his helicopter went missing while returning from a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Sunday.
Also on board the helicopter were Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian. She went missing in dense fog in the mountainous region of northwestern Iran.

Fars state news agency asked Iranians to pray: according to Times of Israel:
According to Iran’s Fars news agency, authorities have lost contact with the helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.

Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi said authorities were awaiting further details on the search and rescue operation, adding that teams were still on their way to the site of the suspected crash due to difficult weather conditions.
In response to the report, Fars called on Iranians to pray for Raisi.

There is no evidence that foreign actors were involved in the accident. Earlier, Breitbart News reported, U.S. officials met indirectly with Iranian officials in Oman to discuss ways to avoid a broader regional war.
