Reggie Miller trolls Knicks after Pacers win playoff series

Basketball Hall of Famer Reggie Miller had the last laugh Sunday night as the Indiana Pacers defeated the struggling New York Knicks 130-109 in Game 7.

Miller posted on Instagram that the series changed when Josh Hart trolled the former Sharpshooter and the Knicks beat the Pacers in Game 2 when OG Anunoby went down with an injury. The Pacers won their second straight home game and won the final two games of the series to eliminate New York.

The Knicks fought through injuries to get the win. The team had already defeated Julius Randle and Mitchell Robinson heading into the series. By Game 2, the team saw Anunoby go down with a hamstring injury. Hart also suffered injuries to his abdomen.

Brunson broke his left hand in Game 7.

“I’m proud of what we did this year and the way we fought,” Brunson said after the game. “Obviously, the results are not what we wanted.”

Anunoby played five minutes in Game 7 and scored a goal, but was unable to get up and down the floor. It was obvious even from the tip.

“I was trying,” Anunoby said. “I couldn’t sprint or jump, but I wanted to do my best.”

Donte DiVincenzo led the Knicks with 39 points.

“There’s only so much you can overcome,” teammate Donte DiVincenzo said. “But you can start with every single player in this locker room. Honestly, we’ve been here all day, talking about each player, how they’ve stepped up this year, how they’ve stepped up in the playoffs.” But… it’s not easy to do.”

To rub salt in the wound, Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton wore a Miller-inspired sweatshirt. Miller had her hand around his neck, and his outerwear was embroidered.

Indiana scored 26 points on 67.1% shooting from the floor.

“I think it’s just an old idea that you can’t play this fast in the playoffs, but I think opportunistically you can do it. If you can get a stop, of course you can,” he said. Said.
