Police revisited the Long Island home of Gilgo Beach murder suspect Rex Heimerman on Monday to begin a new search, his attorney said.
Michael J. Brown, a lawyer for Mr. Heuerman and his estranged wife, Asa Ellerup, said authorities on Monday raided the home of a man suspected of killing four women more than a decade ago. I admitted that there was. Newsday reported.
Brown confirmed that a search warrant had been served, but it was not immediately clear what prompted the new search or what police were hoping to find in Heuerman’s home ahead of his impending trial. It wasn’t.
“We have not yet found a copy of the warrant, so all we can confirm is that there was police activity,” said Ellerup’s attorney, Robert Macedonio. “There was nothing [new] There have been arrests, and I don’t expect my family to be arrested either. ”
Brown said the search began while the home was unoccupied. Mr. Ellerup and his son are in South Carolina, but his daughter is elsewhere.
