Continued efforts to prosecute, disbar and smear attorneys who served as election lawyers for President Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign could leave Republicans short on legal talent for the November 2024 campaign. There is sex.
That’s the analysis of some observers, with recent successful prosecutions of Trump aides Peter Navarro and Stephen K. Bannon drawing attention to ongoing efforts. disbar Trump lawyer John Eastman and others cited it as one such effort.

Democrats are actively targeting more than 400 Republican lawyers and politicians with criminal charges, civil lawsuits, and disbarment proceedings ahead of the upcoming presidential election.

In addition to these criminal cases, Democrats are pursuing a number of efforts to disqualify Republican lawyers. The Soros-backed 65 Project has filed disbarment proceedings against more than 100 Republican lawyers, many of whom will be unable to work until the proceedings are completed. In almost all cases, the charges are without merit, but they have three main effects. One, it has a chilling effect that deters other Republican lawyers and politicians from supporting Trump, and two, it depletes Republican funds that could otherwise use the funds to help elect Trump. And during the campaign, you will be physically busy, resulting in wasted time.

Their goal is to prevent Republicans from ensuring election integrity and protecting the sanctity of the vote.
of 65 projectsbilled as a “bipartisan” effort to hold lawyers accountable and “prevent future abuse of the legal system by lawyers seeking to overturn legitimate elections.” But that doesn’t apply to Democrats. That’s certainly not the case with many state officials who tried to exclude Trump from voting in the 2024 election, only to be rejected 9-0 by the U.S. Supreme Court.
However, such efforts are effective. In November 2020, just days after the election, Trump’s Pennsylvania lawyers faced demands from Democratic activists and lawyers that the office take action against those representing Trump’s election challenges. Under pressure, he resigned.
