As the drama of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” Season 14 continues to explode, Margaret Josephs’ mocktail business is booming.
The 57-year-old entrepreneur recently announced that his non-alcoholic beverage brand Soiree (co-founded in 2023 with business partner Lexi Barbuto) became the first mocktail to be served at Chicago’s Guaranteed Rate Field. I celebrated that. The two praised Page 6 in an exclusive chat.
“People who don’t drink are definitely excluded from parties. It’s our mission to create drinks that have the atmosphere and taste of a party, but are also acceptable to both drinkers and non-drinkers.” It felt essential,” they explain.
“It’s really great to be a part of promoting female fandom and entrepreneurship in historically male-dominated industries like the beverage and sports industries.”
Josephs and Barbuto, who commemorated the milestone by throwing out the ceremonial first pitch to White Sox forward Zach Remillard at a home game on May 11, said it was “the best part” to meet with coaches, players, and their wives and girlfriends on Mother’s Day. “It was time,” he said. weekend.
George McDoniel, White Sox senior director of corporate partnerships, was also pleased to have the women lined up to launch the soirée at the iconic sports venue.
“We’re excited to introduce Soiree to our fans,” he says. “There is no denying the trend of non-alcoholic beverages becoming more popular among all sports fans, and we are grateful to partner with a brand that values inclusivity and inclusion.”
McDaniel added, “These drinks are sure to be a hit with fans looking to enjoy the game day atmosphere with friends and family.”
As the soiree becomes more successful, Josephs sees more conflicts unfold on the current “RHONJ.”
Sunday night’s episode highlighted tensions between the businesswoman and her friends, Jennifer Fessler and Jackie Goldschneider, as the ladies got wrapped up in a discussion about Fessler’s budding friendship with Joseph’s notorious nemesis, Teresa Guidice.
Although his relationship with Fessler, 53, remains unclear, Josephs has publicly stated that his once close bond with Goldschneider, 47, has been irreparably broken.
“I feel bad about that. I think it’s sad, but I think it’s weird,” she told Us at BravoCon in November 2023. “It’s shocking.”
Josephs also said she and Goldschneider had a conflict over a conversation about Goldschneider’s memoir, “The Weight of Beautiful,” which was published last fall by Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. He also mentioned speculation that this may be the case.
“I championed her book and wanted her book to be successful. I published a book I co-authored with Simon and Schuster [that] “She’s done incredibly well. I wish her only good things,” said the author of “Caviar Dreams, Tuna Budgets.”
Goldschneider is said to have felt that Josephus was credited with securing the contract to write his book, but the author of the Macbeth collection disagrees with this assumption.
“No one can accomplish anything alone. This is a team. I have a great team. I wouldn’t be who I am without everyone’s support,” Josephs said, detailing the cause of the rift. .
“I think she got really angry when I said, ‘I defended you,’ but there was no point in it. And she felt so bad that I said that.” I think it hurt.”
Ms. Goldschneider sees things differently.
“There was trust that was broken, and I don’t know that it can be repaired that easily,” she told Us at BravoCon. “I’m not sad. I feel like our friendship has come to an end, but I think people will see that and understand why I’m not sad.”
“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” airs Sundays at 8pm ET on Bravo.
