Israel Seizes AP Equipment; Accuses Agency of Violating Al Jazeera Ban

The Israeli government on Tuesday seized some equipment from The Associated Press, accusing the news agency of violating a recent ban on the Qatar-backed Al Jazeera network, which takes pro-Palestinian positions.

As Breitbart News reported earlier this month, the Israeli government has cited Al Jazeera’s role in spreading anti-Israel propaganda and the involvement of several Al Jazeera freelancers in Palestinian terrorist organizations. It was closed.

era of israel report:

Israeli authorities seized Associated Press cameras and broadcast equipment in southern Israel and accused the news organization of violating a new media law by providing images to Al Jazeera.

The Associated Press condemned the move, saying the Qatar satellite channel was one of thousands of clients receiving live video feeds from the U.S. news agency.

Israeli opposition parties criticized the move, as did the White House.

Israeli Ministry of Communications Posted X (formerly Twitter) reported that the Associated Press was alerted and that the confiscated cameras were used to track Israeli military movements and that the footage was sent to Al Jazeera.
