The Israeli government on Tuesday seized some equipment from The Associated Press, accusing the news agency of violating a recent ban on the Qatar-backed Al Jazeera network, which takes pro-Palestinian positions.
As Breitbart News reported earlier this month, the Israeli government has cited Al Jazeera’s role in spreading anti-Israel propaganda and the involvement of several Al Jazeera freelancers in Palestinian terrorist organizations. It was closed.

The Associated Press condemned the move, saying the Qatar satellite channel was one of thousands of clients receiving live video feeds from the U.S. news agency.
Israeli opposition parties criticized the move, as did the White House.

BREAKING: White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre tells reporters the Biden administration is concerned by reports that the Israeli government has confiscated equipment from The Associated Press. She said journalists must have the right and ability to carry out their duties.

Israeli Ministry of Communications Posted X (formerly Twitter) reported that the Associated Press was alerted and that the confiscated cameras were used to track Israeli military movements and that the footage was sent to Al Jazeera.
