The court filing in the federal classified documents lawsuit against former President Donald Trump made waves Tuesday, raising new concerns about the nature of the FBI’s Aug. 8, 2022, Mar-a-Lago raid.
Signs that federal agents were authorized to use deadly force led President Trump and his allies to conclude that the attack had the makings of an assassination attempt.
The FBI responded by pointing out that the policy at issue was simply that:
