NHL Bringing In Some Of The Best Stanley Cup Playoff TV Ratings In League History: REPORT

Good luck in the NHL too!

The NHL is currently enjoying the highest playoff television ratings in league history, but it’s even more impressive that those numbers are coming from the first two rounds of the postseason. Just imagine what that could be like heading into the conference and Stanley Cup Finals.

The NHL is averaging 1.16 million viewers over the first two rounds, a 9% increase from the 2023 postseason, the NHL report said. Associated Press. (RELATED: New Jersey Devils hire Sheldon Keefe as next head coach: Report)

When you look at the NBA numbers, the NHL numbers are even more stellar and the playoff numbers are surprisingly down. 11% This season, the playoffs for both leagues will be broadcast on the same networks (ESPN and TNT).

In the United States, the NHL’s first round averaged 934,000 viewers, the second-highest audience in league history.

Game 7 of the first round between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins was a thrilling game that wasn’t decided until overtime, and was watched by 3.22 million viewers on ABC. The record viewership made the game the most-watched game in the NHL’s first round since 2012.

I’m happy with the NHL. It’s about time this league starts to get more exciting…and I’d like to think it has something to do with my Florida Panthers doing their job.

Good luck Cats!
