Illegal immigrant from Turkey is shocked at how easy it is to enter the US

The crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border is so palpable that even illegal immigrants are shocked at how easy it is to enter the U.S. through anything other than a legal port of entry, to the point that they worry that criminals are able to enter the U.S. without any problems.

Fox News national correspondent Bill Melgin interviewed a Turkish man who illegally entered the San Diego area near Jacumba Hot Springs.

The man said he paid a Mexican drug cartel $10,000 to pass through territory on the Mexican side of the border.

“My visa was refused many times, so I decided to enter the country illegally.”

“Actually, the American people are right. Absolutely. Who’s coming to this country? They don’t know. I’m fine, but what if they’re not okay? What if they’re murderers or psychopaths? “What if? There’s no guarantee,” the man warned. “There are no security checks or background checks.”

“Are you worried about who’s coming across the border?” Melgin asked.

“Yes, yes, yes. Of course. People are not normal,” the man replied.

When attention was drawn to how the men had enough funds to go through the visa process to enter the country legally, Melgin said: Said They applied but were repeatedly rejected, so they decided to take advantage of the open border.

“That’s exactly what they did, and they said so on camera. They were denied visas so many times that they just decided to walk across illegally.” [and] “I was surprised at how easy it was,” Meryugin explained.

The San Diego sector is currently the epicenter of the border crisis. A combination of security efforts in Texas and northern Mexico are funneling illegal immigrants to the west coast portion of the southern border. Prior to the San Diego sector, the Tucson sector in Arizona was the main entry point to the border.

So far this fiscal year, Border Patrol agents in the San Diego sector have Encountered According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, there are approximately 223,000 illegal immigrants.
