House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-Louisiana, said Thursday on Fox News Channel’s “The Faulkner Focus” that President Joe Biden and Democrats want to open the border to “turn these people into voters and change the outcome of the census six years from now.”
“We have documented 64 specific executive actions taken by President Biden and his administration, including in the Americas. They took these actions intentionally to open the border. Why did they do it premeditatedly? That’s the scary thing about this,” Johnson said. “He has executive authority every day to undo his actions, but he refuses to exercise it.”
Host Harris Faulkner asked, “Does it seem like the president knows exactly what’s going on at the border?”
“I think he’s in denial. I think a lot of people in his party were calling for an open border caucus within the Democratic Party to push this agenda,” Johnson said. The reason is, Harris, because you’ve been asking me, I’ve campaigned in 110 cities and 29 states across the country with incumbents and candidates. No matter where you are, no matter where you are in the country, everyone will say, why would they do this? Is it such a disaster for the country? Why would the president allow these people to do this? They want to change the results of a six-year census by turning them into voters. That sounds ominous, and it is, and they are doing untold harm to this country.”
