This, ladies and gentlemen, is golf passion.
As a recent Iowa high school graduate, my home was completely destroyed in a tornado, and as a result, I lost most of my possessions. While people were panicking about their homes, cars, pets, etc., my husband had only one concern on his mind: how to replace his golf clubs.
On Tuesday, multiple tornadoes touched down across the state, causing devastation especially in the town of Greenfield. High school student Bradley Gebbie, a resident of the town, appeared on WHO 13 to talk about the tornado and the damage it caused. Like a true golf lover, he let out all his suffering… saying that the storm destroyed his golf clubs and he really needed new ones. (Related: Scottie Scheffler’s arrest case is taking a strange turn and I think it justifies my support for him)
“I lost a lot of stuff, including golf clubs,” Gebbie said with a laugh. “I lost about $3,000.”
“I want to thank TaylorMade, Titleist and Callaway. I really need a new set. I lost mine but I love golf.”

This is a happy report. @Callaway Golf Callaway said it has been in contact with Bradley, who graduated from Nodaway High School on Sunday, and plans to provide him with a complete upgrade of clubs and equipment.
Bradley plays on the Wolverines golf team, and his sense of humor during tough times is inspiring.

Oh I wish Powell Golf was up and running… I would absolutely send him some free swag and golf balls… eventually, eventually.
