Chris Hemsworth has high praise for his wife.
The “Thor” actor received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday and paid a special tribute to his wife, Elsa Pataky, during his acceptance speech.
“I want to thank my beautiful wife for being by my side for almost my entire career, constantly encouraging and supporting me,” he said, “and for the times she set aside her own dreams to support mine.” [I am] I will feel forever indebted to you.
“fact [is] None of the things I do, these moments, these special occasions and events would be special without you by my side. I love you.”

Hemsworth and Pataky met in 2010 and married that same year, just three months after going public with their relationship. The couple have since had three children together: daughter India Rose, 12, and twin sons Sasha and Tristan, 10.
Pataky is best known for playing Officer Elena Neves in the three “Fast and Furious” films. Hemsworth landed the role of the God of Thunder in “Thor” and played the character in several solo films and the “Avengers” series, which led to bigger roles in “Rush,” “Extraction” and “The Huntsman: Winter’s War.”
The pair are currently starring together in Mad Max: Fury Road, with Hemsworth playing the villainous Dr. Dementus and Pataky playing dual roles as General Vuvalini and Mister Norton in the film.
“We have three kids, so this is like a date night,” Hemsworth told E! News about working with Pataky. “We go to work together and it gives us some alone time.”

Though the pair saw working together as a way to get away from their kids, their three children were on set with them during filming. Hemsworth explained that the kids “were on set a lot,” adding that “they understand the behind-the-scenes tricks” so “nothing’s shocking to them” anymore.
This isn’t the first time Hemsworth has worked with his family, as his daughter played a key role in the recent Thor and Thor: Love and Thunder films.
“That scene was originally just supposed to be a short scene in the movie, but the story changed and the character expanded,” Hemsworth told Entertainment Tonight in June 2023. “I said, ‘Would you like to say a line in the movie?’ and she was like, ‘Yeah, sure!’ She was a pro and loved it.”
Despite India dominating the screen in the film, Hemsworth is in no rush to cast her in other films. He told media:[s] He wants to give her a childhood,” he said, adding that he may allow her to continue acting in the future if she wishes.

“But I said, ‘You’ve got plenty of time, sweetie. Go to school, ride your horses, have fun, be a kid,'” he added. “Because once the train starts moving, it’s hard to get off and you’re going to miss a lot.”
