Eight people were injured after an airboat crashed into a sandbar in Central Florida Friday morning, authorities said.

According to Osceola County Fire Rescue, the accident happened in a canal near Partin Triangle Park in Kissimmee. Eleven people were on the boat, and eight were taken to local hospitals. Fire officials said no trauma alerts had been issued.

Everyone on board had life preservers on, and they called 911 to say they needed help pulling the boat off the sandbar, according to the sheriff’s office.
