Dem strategist James Carville says party’s ‘messaging is full of s–t’

Prominent Democratic strategist James Carville launched a tirade Saturday calling his party’s messaging “full of bullshit” and accusing the Biden team of worrying too much about the Gaza war.

Carville, who helped run Bill Clinton’s successful 1992 presidential campaign, blasted the national Democratic Party as polls continue to show President Biden facing an uphill battle in a rematch against former President Donald Trump.

“It makes me wonder why young people aren’t coming back to the Democratic Party,” said Carville, 79. Video episodes of his Politicon podcast.

“Why don’t black people support the Democratic Party back? Because the Democratic message is crap.”

“Just talk about the cost of living and say, ‘We’ll help you deal with this,'” Carville said. “Don’t talk about Gaza or student loans.”

“Why forgive student loans for students who go to Harvard University?” he asked, likening the Ivy League school to “a hedge fund with a classroom.”

Cable television news commentators have repeatedly criticized the Democratic Party and its policies ahead of crucial November election campaigns.

In March, Trump warned on a podcast that Democrats were losing support among young minority voters at a “frightening” rate, and in an interview with The New York Times blamed the party’s polling problems on “too many preachy women.”

Last month, his message to young voters was “fuck you” and argued that if Trump wins, the Supreme Court will “take away all your rights.”
