Bruce Springsteen postponed at least four shows on his E Street Band’s European tour this week due to “vocal problems,” just months after cancelling US dates due to his battle with digestive ulcers.

Also postponed are a show scheduled for Tuesday at Prague’s Letňany Airport, as well as two shows at Milan’s San Siro stadium on June 1 and 3.
“Bruce is recovering well and he and the E Street Band look forward to resuming their hugely successful European Stadium Tour at Madrid’s spectacular Civitas Metropolitan on June 12th,” the statement added.
Springsteen’s vocal problems come just two months after he resumed his U.S. tour after cancelling all shows in September after revealing he had been diagnosed with a digestive ulcer.
The rock singer, known for performing marathon shows lasting up to three hours, worried that the disease would affect his voice.
“When I had stomach problems, one of the big problems was I couldn’t sing,” Springsteen said on SiriusXM’s “E Street Radio with Jim Rotolo” in March.
“Before, people would tell me, ‘Oh, it’s going to go away and you’re going to be OK.'” [But] “You think, ‘Man, am I going to sing again?'” the “Born to Run” singer admitted. “And this is one of the things I love most, most and right now I can’t do it.”
Springsteen said it took a while for doctors to say he would be able to recover from his health scare.
“At first, no one told me that, and I got nervous. But I ended up finding some great doctors who put me on the right path, and I can only thank them.”
