Don Lemon has stuck to his guns and continues to defend the media and government, despite losing his coveted job at CNN.
He made this clear in an interview on “The Full Send Podcast,” with the Nelk brothers confronting him with some basic facts about the government’s disastrous COVID policies.
“No matter what evidence is in front of you, on COVID-19, on the border, on the economy, there are still people who will defend the establishment,” Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report explained before showing the embarrassing footage.
One of the Nehlkes’ sons accused Lemon of strongly supporting a “just do it” stance on vaccines, much like Cuomo’s.
“This whole debate about vaccines is a little weird to me because I think people are criticizing the idea of a vaccine on a Monday morning,” Lemon responded coyly, adding that he thinks people should have done what’s best for their fellow citizens “instead of being selfish.”
“So I think people who are still questioning the use of masks at this point have been a little selfish,” Lemon said, repeating the commonly heard assertion that there is no medical evidence that ivermectin saves people from or prevents infection with COVID-19 or that it has any effect on the COVID-19 vaccines.
“I believe in medicine, I believe in science, and I believe my government cares about me and wants the best for me,” Lemon continued.
“Shouldn’t other people have the right not to get the vaccine or to not be forced to put something in their body that they don’t want?” asked another Nelk boy, adding, “At the time it seemed like the media was really shaming people, like it was their fault if they didn’t get the vaccine.”
“Well, I don’t know if the media has shamed people,” Lemon replied. “If you’re not going to get the vaccine, then don’t get it, but don’t feel like you’re going to be able to do anything or go anywhere,” he said before being interrupted.
“To earn a living, right?” asked one of the boys.
“I’ve watched this footage several times and it gets worse every time I watch it. He’s on his knees blowing up the system that literally fired him,” Rubin said in a shocked statement.
