The European Union has just given final approval to new ESG requirements that will affect companies around the world.
While the rules directly target companies that sell $500 million worth of products, any company that does business with those companies, no matter how small, must comply with the new rules as well.
Affected companies will be required to submit reports to European government authorities if they are based in the EU, have more than 1,000 employees and have global revenues exceeding $489 million.
Glenn Beck He has been warning about this law for years, but he says there is now only one way to stop it.
“This is one of the greatest threats to American freedom right now, both in the short and long term,” Glenn warned. “Our societies, through corporate decisions and business partnerships, will be forced to conform to European rules, values and environmental standards.”
Because this law affects American companies, social justice standards need to be formally imposed on America.
“The only way this is going to change is if Congress and the president act. The current president, and at least the current Senate, are never going to stop this,” Glenn said.
“Remember,” he continues, “ESG is environmental, social and governance. So are there enough gay black androgynous people with one leg? Do you have people like that on your board? No, why not? That’s the governance part.”

“The new law contains hundreds of vague references and references to existing international agreements and EU regulations, many of which are long treaties that contain even more rules, such as the Paris Climate Agreement and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights,” Glenn explains.
