First lady Jill Biden said Wednesday on ABC’s “The View” that “we lose all our rights” if another Republican is confirmed to the Supreme Court.
“Women are likely to play a key role in November, and we hear talk of stripping away women’s reproductive rights, there are total abortion bans in 14 states, IVF is under attack, how dangerous a time is it for women right now? And as you say, how much worse is it going to be in a second or third term for President Trump?” Sara Haines said.
“Things could get a lot worse under President Trump, so you have to believe him when he uses words like dictatorship, bloodshed, third term, violence. We’ve seen it, so you have to believe him when he says these words. You can’t think this isn’t going to happen,” Biden said.
She continued, “And women’s rights, women’s rights and IVF. I mean, we have to have a choice. Joe wants to legislate that. egg And we have to. We have to fight hard to get it back.”
Biden added, “We continue to think that this can’t be taken away, but we can’t take it for granted, because it could. And think about the Supreme Court. Things are getting worse. Can you imagine what would happen if we put more Republicans on the Supreme Court? No. We would lose all our rights. We’re talking about women’s rights, gay rights, all rights.”
