Alex Soros, the son of left-wing activist and billionaire George Soros, has suggested that Democrats should mention “at every opportunity” that former President Donald Trump is a “convicted felon.”
Soros post X argues that “repetition is key to a successful message” and that Democrats want Americans to be “troubled” by having to vote for a “convicted felon” in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
A jury in President Trump’s business records trial returned a guilty verdict on all 34 charges against the former president on Thursday.
“Democrats should call Trump a convicted felon at every opportunity,” Soros said in the post. “Repetition is key to a successful message and we want the public to grapple with the idea of hiring a convicted felon for the most important job in the country!”
In April 2023, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg indicted Trump on 34 counts of first-degree falsifying business records related to payments made to adult entertainment star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Breitbart News previously reported that Bragg, who was elected in November 2021, had been indirectly funded by Soros’ father.
George Soros donated $1 million to Color of Change PAC, which funded Bragg’s election.
Soros “has spent millions of dollars on recent local district attorney elections, often supporting left-wing extremists running against incumbent Democrats or moderate Democrats. His involvement has coincided with a significant increase in violent crime in Democrat-run cities.”
Soros’ father has provided funding to district attorneys in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Cook County, Illinois, and Contra Costa County, California.
After the verdict on Thursday, Trump told reporters that this was “done by the Biden administration to hurt their enemies, their political opponents.”
Trump added that the “real verdict” would be “made by the American people on November 5th.”
