Jake Paul Vs Mike Tyson Fight Postponed

The highly controversial fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson has been postponed.

The boxing match between 27-year-old YouTuber Jake Paul and 57-year-old Tyson was originally scheduled for July 20 but was postponed after doctors discovered that Mike Tyson was suffering from an ulcer. Most Valuable Promotions The announcement was made in a Twitter post.

The ulcers are reportedly severely hindering Tyson’s ability to train and prepare for fights. (Related: ‘You love to lie’: Jake Paul says Mike Tyson fights remain on schedule after health scare)

“I want to thank all my fans around the world for their support and understanding during this time. Unfortunately, my ulcer has recurred and my doctors have instructed me to take a few weeks off training to rest and recover,” Tyson said in a statement provided by Most Valuable Productions. “My body is in the best shape it has been since the 1990s and I will soon be back on a full training schedule. Jake Paul, this may have bought me some time, but in the end, I will be knocked out and banned from boxing for good. I thank you all for your patience and can’t wait to deliver an unforgettable performance later this year.”

“I fully support postponing the event so that Mike Tyson has no excuses on fight day,” Paul said. “Fans know I don’t want to fight Iron Mike unless I’m at my best, but don’t get me wrong – once he steps in the ring, I’ll be ready to win with a sensational finish. Paul vs. Tyson will be a fight that will go down in history, and I promise to give my best in this once-in-a-lifetime matchup.”

The new date for the match will be announced on June 7th.

In combat sports, there are fights between professional boxers and circuses, but this is a step too far. Neither participant is eligible to take part in this match.

Mike Tyson is undoubtedly a boxing legend, but he hasn’t competed professionally since 2005, with his last win coming in 2003. This means that Jake Paul was six years old when he last won a professional boxing match.

Jake Paul seems intent on inflating his 9-1 record (5 of those wins were in his boxing debut) with a win over a legend who is well past his prime. This in no way elevates the sweet science, but serves as yet another gimmick match to generate cheap clicks and revenue, which is surely what it will be.

This match should not have been sanctioned and should be cancelled immediately.
