Donald Trump Raises $34.8M from Small Dollar Donors After Guilty Verdict

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign raised $34.8 million from small donors after a Manhattan jury convicted him on Thursday, the Trump campaign announced Friday morning.

According to the Trump campaign, this small amount is nearly double the highest amount the Trump campaign has ever raised on the WinRed platform. For comparison, the Biden campaign raised $51 million in all of April, which is not even close to the $76 million the Trump campaign and its party committees raised.

A small donation can go a long way because it can be made over and over again.

“Just minutes after the bogus court verdict was announced, our digital fundraising systems were overwhelmed with support, and despite momentary online delays due to traffic volumes, President Trump raised $34.8 million from small donors.” Trump campaign senior advisers Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles said in a statement obtained by Breitbart News.

“Not only was the amount the highest ever, but 29.7% of yesterday’s donors were new donors to the WinRed platform,” they continued.

“President Trump and our campaign are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support from patriots across the country,” they added. “President Trump is fighting to save our country, and November 5th is the day the American people will get their true verdict.”

The announcement of the huge donations came after major Republican donors pledged millions of dollars to support Trump following his conviction.

These include:

  • Hotelier Robert Bigelow ($5 million)
  • Technology investor Sean Maguire ($300,000)
  • Former Trump ambassador to Jamaica Don Tapia ($1 million)

The Biden campaign $83 million in the bankFunding totals for April showed Democrats had raised $120 million, compared with $49 million for Trump, CNN reported.
