U.S. women’s soccer star Corbin Albert was booed by Colorado fans when she replaced Lindsey Horan in Saturday’s game against South Korea.

Albert entered the match in the 71st minute.

Albert didn’t score in South Korea’s 4-0 win, but she had heard the booing before, during the team’s match against Japan in the SheBelieves Cup in April.

The outrage was sparked by Albert’s posts about the LGBTQ+ community.

According to The Athletic, one of the TikTok videos she reposted included a sermon about being gay and “feeling transgender” being wrong.

According to the report, another leaked screenshot showed Albert “liking” an Instagram post making fun of Megan Rapinoe’s injury, with the comment, “God did a miracle and made sure Megan Rapinoe sprained her ankle in her last game.”

She received criticism from Rapinoe at the time for the post.

Albert has apologized for the post, but the booing continues.

She played in the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team’s LGBTQ+ Pride jersey, which the team wore to mark the start of Pride Month in June.

The win also marked the first for head coach Emma Hayes, who took over as manager of a U.S. team after leading Chelsea to seven FA Women’s Super League titles.
