Draymond Green implores Fever to get ‘enforcer’ for Caitlin Clark

Nearly everyone has an opinion on the drama that ensued when Sky guard Chennedy Carter bumped WNBA superstar Kaitlyn Clark’s shoulder over the weekend.

That included Draymond Green.

The Warriors tough guy commented on an ESPNW Instagram post on Saturday after the incident, slamming the Fever for not having an “enforcer” on the roster.

“Indiana needs to invest in its enforcement agencies…and now!” Green wrote in the comments section.

Over the weekend, Carter drew a flagrant foul on Clark late in the third quarter, just as teammate Aaliyah Boston was about to make an inbounds pass away from the ball.

Carter appeared to respond to Green’s comments. X posted her own post on Sunday.

“We’ve grown so much and people are saying enforcer man, get out, play basketball and shut up,” Carter wrote on the social media platform.

Green wasn’t the only NBA player to comment on the weekend’s events, with former NBA player Matt Barnes also responding by posting a video to his Instagram account.

Barnes questioned where Clarke’s teammates were to defend her.

“My problem and question is, where the hell are her teammates? Where are you guys? Where is the rest of the Indiana Fever?” Barnes asked.

“When she got knocked down, I saw some girls smirking and picking her up. Everybody’s like, you gotta protect your assets, you gotta protect your stars. Even if it’s a team, you gotta protect your stars. I was the guy who protected the stars. Fuck Kobe. [Chris Paul]break [Griffin]The list goes on and on, but it’s going to be a problem.”

The intense scrutiny surrounding the play has sparked a lot of discussion about Clark and her fellow WNBA players’ reaction to her.

It also sparked some heated debate on Monday’s ESPN “First Take,” including a heated exchange between Stephen A. Smith and Monica McNutt.
