Buckham held a nearly 2-to-1 fundraising advantage throughout the primary.

Zach Nunn flipped Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District from Democrat to Republican in 2022. Democrats are eager to recapture the seat before Nunn’s power as a multi-term incumbent increases.

The 2022 election was a close race, with Nunn narrowly defeating former Congresswoman Cindy Axne by less than 1%.
