Bettors hammering Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes win total

Colorado football is once again extremely popular among those who place sports bets.

The Buffaloes are attracting more bets at BetMGM Sportsbook on both the over and under as a preseason win total of 5.5 for the 2024 college football season.

Bettors are slightly more likely to expect Colorado to win more games, with 63 percent of bets and 71 percent of money wagered on the Buffaloes to win 5.5 or more games.

It’s the second straight year that bettors have given Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes a big win.

At one point in September last season, Colorado was drawing more bets than some NFL teams.

Colorado is coming off a turbulent 4-8 season in 2023, the first year of the Sanders era.

The Buffaloes opened the season with a win over defending national champion and runner-up TCU and are off to a 3-0 start.

However, they went 1-8 in conference games after that, ending the season with six straight losses.

Sanders and the team will have to overcome their fair share of off-field drama if they want to improve even more in 2024.

The team saw a large exodus of players through the transfer portal this spring, but Sanders responded by bringing in 42 transfer players. According to 247Sports:.

Sanders and his son, Shedur, a quarterback at Colorado, spoke out against former players who were pushed out of programs by their head coaches over the past year.

Schedulle’s draft rating has dipped slightly after this back-and-forth battle, dropping from +100 to +300 as a possible No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft on DraftKings.

Schedulle (+3500) and two-way player Travis Hunter (+6000) were early contenders for the 2023 season but are unlikely to win the Heisman.

In May, Sanders’ other son, Shiloh, a Buffaloes cornerback, filed for bankruptcy in an attempt to avoid liability after receiving a nearly $12 million judgment from a Texas court in a case in which he was accused of assaulting a school security guard while in high school.
