Times have been tough for Caitlin Clark lately, but Friday night might have been just what she needed.
The rookie phenom scored a career-high 30 points on Friday night to help the Indiana Fever beat the Washington Mystics 85-83.
Clark made seven 3-pointers, a WNBA rookie record, tying Crystal Robinson as the only players to make seven 3-pointers in a first year in the league.

Her seven 3-pointers are the most in a single game in Fever history, breaking the previous record of six made by Tamika Catchings in 2002.
Clark also had eight rebounds and six assists, joining New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu as the only rookies in WNBA history to go 30-5-5 in a single game.
The Mystics had a chance to win with 1.4 seconds left in the game, but they couldn’t get a shot off in time, giving Indiana the victory.
Clark has one other WNBA game with 30 or more points – a loss at Los Angeles on May 28. She has never made more than four 3-pointers in a game and shot better than 50 percent from the field just once, shooting 8 of 15 from the field on Friday.

Charles Barkley repeats ‘boring nonsense’ about Caitlin Clark: ‘It’s really bad publicity for the WNBA’
But turnovers continue to be an issue for Clark, who committed eight turnovers and has five or more in each of her previous eight games.
But with the pressure mounting, Clarke will put in a stellar performance to secure a big win.
It was the Fever’s third win of the season (3-9), while the Mystics are winless in 11 straight games this year.
