On Monday evening, an innocent 84-year-old woman was shot while sitting in her walker on a Brooklyn street corner.
According to police and officials, the woman was sitting on the sidewalk near the intersection of Brooklyn Avenue and Foster Street in East Flatbush around 6:45 p.m. when a stray bullet struck her in the left arm.
She was rushed to Kings County Hospital where she is expected to recover from her injuries.
Police sources said the man, who is in his 80s, was not the shooter’s target.
Photos from the aftermath of the incident show the victim’s red walker left on the sidewalk next to a bloodstain and nearly 20 shell casings scattered on the road.

The shootings came after a bloody weekend that saw summer-like weather arrive in New York.
Six people were shot in four separate incidents on Saturday night alone. Two of the victims, brothers, died in a murder-suicide in Queens.
