During a segment on Fox Business Network’s “Morning with Maria” on Tuesday, Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) slammed President Joe Biden as a “lawless president” when asked about the U.S. Senate’s inability to resolve the crisis on the U.S.-Mexico border.
“[V]”Your viewers are also outraged that you and your colleagues failed to secure the border,” host Maria Bartiromo said. “Why?”
“Because we have a lawless president,” Barrasso responded. “From the time President Trump left office until Joe Biden took office, there have been no new laws. But Joe Biden has just issued 94 executive orders. It’s a cumulative problem. We have 10 million illegal immigrants here.”
“[We] “The House tried to impeach, they impeached the Secretary of Homeland Security, for a total abuse of the laws of this country,” he continued, “and the Democrats blocked it. They have a majority in the Senate, they have a White House led by Joe Biden, and they’re going to do everything in their power to stop this flood of basically illegal immigration, illegal immigration coming into this country.”
“The American people see it,” Barrasso added. “They’re tired of it. Their lives are being affected. Drugs are killing people in our communities, they’re killing our children. This has to stop. And the only place this can be stopped is at the ballot box. No law passed by Congress can force Joe Biden or the Democrats to change their bad behavior.”
