Comedian Bill Barr attacked left-wing hypocrisy during a stand-up show at the University of California, Berkeley, known as a mecca for left-wing thought.
Barr’s rage at Saturday’s sold-out show report Near the San Francisco Gate.
“You’re one of those people that makes me not believe in a loving God.”
“I fucking hate liberals!” he said during the show, making it clear he was referring to white liberals.
Barr mocked white liberals for putting up posters in their windows supporting the Black Lives Matter movement while doing nothing to actually help black people.
“That would be like me saying my great-grandmother in Germany held up a sign that said, ‘No Nazis,'” he said.
He went on to mock white people who try to use the suffering of others to fuel their own.
“If you encounter a white person who claims to have empathy, run away,” he continued.
He also mocked the crowd’s laughter as a politically incorrect response when he joked about President Joe Biden having dementia.
SF Gate also took issue with Barr’s mocking of a crowd member by mocking his build.
“You’re one of those people that makes me not believe in a loving God,” Barr told the onlookers.
Despite Barr’s denunciation of liberalism on a far-left campus, media reported that the students responded very well to his performance, laughing throughout the show, and Barr seemed pleased with the overall reaction from the audience.
“Berkeley, you guys were amazing. Hope we can do this again,” he said at the end of the show.
Barr is known for his combative and contrarian views and has been highly critical of the left’s attempts to exclude comedians who stray from the approved politically correct narrative. He has also made it clear that he is no fan of the Republican Party or former President Donald Trump.
In December, Barr predicted Trump would win the Republican nomination and mocked Jimmy Kimmel and other leftists for prosecuting Trump.
“If you want to see a great example of narcissism … liberals have been really stupid in the way they’ve responded to Trump,” Barr told a bemused Kimmel at the time.
“Now he’s a martyr! He’s coming back, Jimmy! He’s coming back! It’s going to be great for comedy!” he added.
In his next joke, he made it clear that he was not rooting for either Biden or Trump.
“With any luck, they’ll both die of natural causes before the election and we’ll have someone elected who still has something to live for,” Barr added, drawing loud laughter and applause from Kimmel’s audience.
