Goldie Hawn is considering relocating from Los Angeles after experiencing two disturbing break-ins at her home, she revealed on Wednesday’s episode of “Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa.”
The incidents left the 78-year-old actress feeling uneasy and questioning her future in the city she’d lived in for years. Horne said the first robbery happened just over two hours after she and her longtime partner, Kurt Russell, had been out to dinner.
“LA is a terrible place. I got robbed once. They came back and broke into my house,” Horn told Kelly Ripa.Talking Off Camera with Kelly Ripa“I went up the stairs and into the closet. I panicked. They had broken into our bedroom, into the closet, from the balcony. And they completely destroyed my door. It’s a secure door. They were very, very clever and they stole a lot of my treasures, you can imagine.”

Horne was shocked by the experience and hoped it was an isolated incident, but four months later there was another incident – this time she was home alone with her dog when she heard a loud noise coming from the second floor.
“I heard a loud noise upstairs. I was alone, Kurt wasn’t there. I was like, ‘What is this?'” she explained. “I was like, is it a sonic boom? Is someone jumping off somewhere? I ended up finding out the next day that I was in the house and they were trying to get into my bedroom.” (RELATED: Audrina Patridge reveals she was the victim of infamous Hollywood crime)

These experiences led Horn and Russell to consider moving to Palm Desert, which Horn said is a much safer option compared to Los Angeles’ rising crime rate. Horn now hires a security guard to keep him safe, especially when he’s alone.
“If we couldn’t live in LA, where would we live? We both decided on Palm Desert because it’s so safe,” Horn added.
