INDIANAPOLIS — Aaliyah Boston matched her career high with 27 points, Kelsey Mitchell added 24 and the Indiana Fever used a 10-2 run to beat the Atlanta Dream 91-84 on Thursday night despite Kaitlyn Clark scoring just seven points.
Indiana (4-10) scored 59 points in the first half and led by as many as 18, but Atlanta fought back and scored just 14 points over the first 14 minutes of the second half.
The Fever’s first points of the fourth quarter came on a Mitchell free throw with 5:16 left.
Rhyne Howard tied the game at 77-77 with 4:13 left, and on the next attempt she drained another 3-pointer to give Atlanta its first lead of the night, 80-79, after an 11-10 deficit.
But Atlanta (5-6) committed consecutive shot-clock violations and Indiana scored four points after those attempts.
Mitchell got a steal under Atlanta’s basket with 47.1 seconds left and made the first field goal of the second half for an 87-82 lead.
Howard made two free throws to put Atlanta within 87-84, but Boston rolled in the lane and made a layup.
Boston also grabbed 13 rebounds, recording its third double-double of the season.
Clark shot 3-of-11 from the field.
Howard, who was limited to eight minutes in the first half with three fouls, finished with 26 points, including six 3-pointers.
Cheyenne Parker Tyus came off the bench and recorded 18 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals.
Alisha Gray added 12 points and Haley Jones had 10 points.
Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton sat behind the Fever bench, and 16-time hot dog eating champion Joey Chestnut was courtside.
