The annual Father’s Day, or Father’s Day, falls on Sunday, June 16 this year, and many people celebrate by enjoying a cocktail before or during dinner.
Some families choose to celebrate the man in their life by letting him take charge of the day.
Father’s Day is full of all things daddy, whether that’s playing golf, going fishing, hiking or just relaxing on the couch watching the game.

Florida-based celebrity chef Robert Irvine shared a recipe for a bittersweet memory drink for special occasions with Fox News Digital.
“What do you give to a man who would move mountains for his child?,” he told Fox News Digital in an email. “There may be a million ways to properly answer this question, but I don’t think ‘Buy him a tie’ is one of them.”

“Why don’t we get him some shade and some strong drink?” he continued.
Irvine, host of Food Network’s “Restaurant: Impossible,” shared a bourbon-based recipe that featured some very interesting ingredient combinations.

“[It] “We combine the manliest of spirits, bourbon, with aged rum, vermouth and a bitters blend to create a mature, full-bodied drinking experience,” he said.

Irvine suggested the drink was “the ideal way to end a long, hard day’s work, or to say thank you to the man who does it all in a way that he enjoys.”

1 oz bitter aperitif

1. Add ice to a mixing glass and combine all ingredients. Stir for approximately 15 seconds.

2. Pour the drink into a rocks glass with a large cube inside.
