Caitlin Clark again faced a physical defense on Sunday in a tough match between the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky in Indianapolis, but Clark still scored 23 points to help Indiana win its second straight game.
Clark’s teammate, Aaliyah Boston, had another strong performance, recording her third straight double-double, as the Fever improved to 5-10 on the season.
Chicago guard Chennedy Carter, who drew criticism for a hard foul on Clark in the Fever-Sky matchup this season, finished with 18 points.

On June 1, after Carter scored a basket late in the third quarter, she switched to defense and began guarding Clark, who was getting open to receive the inbounds pass. Reese was criticized for appearing to celebrate after Carter was fouled.
The officials ruled Carter committed a general foul, but the WNBA subsequently upgraded it to a flagrant violation 1. Reese was also fined for failing to attend postgame media appearances.

But at one point during Sunday’s game, Carter appeared to display some sportsmanship. Help Clark Stand Up. There were some heated moments during the rematch, including Clark hitting Evans on the arm after Dana Evans hooked Clark in the first half.
In the third quarter, Reese’s right arm struck Clark in the head. The referee reviewed the play and upgraded it to a Grant 1.

Fans cheered every time Carter and Reese were called for a foul, and Reese nearly lost his temper when he was called for the 5th. The umpire issued a delay of play warning as Reese threw the ball back and continued arguing while walking down the court.

The match itself was once again tense until the very end.
Clark made a deep 3-pointer with under seven minutes left in the first quarter.
Indiana closed the first half on a 12-6 run to extend its lead to 47-43. Marina Mabry scored eight points during a 12-4 surge early in the second half to give the Sky a 55-51 lead.
But the Fever fought back and took a 58-57 lead.

Clark Clutch 3 Point With just over three minutes left in the game, the Fever ultimately pulled away for a 91-83 victory.
