Caitlin Clark Receives Support from LeBron James as WNBA Season Approaches

As the WNBA season draws near, Caitlin Clark, the star player for the Indiana Fever, received an encouraging message from none other than LeBron James. This comes right after she shared an Instagram post celebrating her third year in the league with a caption that read, “3rd year!!! See you again.”

James enthusiastically commented, “LFG!!!!!!!!,” clearly showing his support for Clark, who has garnered attention as a prolific sharpshooter. In fact, he previously reached out to her at the beginning of her second WNBA season, wishing her good luck and encouraging her to give it her all.

Unfortunately, her second season was quite challenging. Clark started strong, consistently scoring in double figures across eight games, but faced setbacks, including a disappointing game against the Seattle Storm where she only managed six points in 31 minutes. She did manage to rebound with at least 12 points in her final three appearances before the All-Star break, but then an unfortunate hamstring injury kept her off the court for the remainder of the year.

Last month, Clark expressed her readiness for this upcoming season, stating she is “100% healthy.” She reflected on her previous challenges, mentioning that she never wants to miss games but realizes the importance of taking care of her body. “I think I just need to be a little more intelligent with my body… whether it’s recovery, pre-court treatment, whatever it is,” she shared in April.

Her performance during the preseason seems to indicate she’s taking that advice to heart. The Fever are set to kick off their season against the Dallas Wings on Saturday.
