According to the lawsuit, Velazquez claims the theme park was negligent at the time of the accident because there were “no employees or lifeguards on duty” on the water slide when he was hit.

According to court documents, Velazquez suffered physical, emotional and mental injuries after the crash.

“As a direct and proximate result of Defendant’s negligence, Plaintiff has suffered personal injuries including permanent damage to his entire body, pain and suffering of both a physical and mental nature, disability, impairment, permanent scarring/disfigurement, mental anguish, aggravation of pre-existing medical conditions, inconvenience, loss of ability to enjoy life, hospitalization costs, medical and nursing care and treatment, loss of ability to earn money, and loss of ability to live and enjoy a normal life,” the lawsuit states.
