White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre paused a Tuesday afternoon press conference after learning that a reporter had fainted.
Video footage Posts C-SPAN’s “X” shows Jean-Pierre taking questions from reporters and then someone can be heard in the background saying, “We’re having an emergency.”
“Oh, wait a minute,” Jean-Pierre says as he starts walking away from the camera, “Did someone pass out?”
Jean-Pierre is then seen walking to the back of the press conference room, where several people can be seen gathering around the unconscious journalist, before standing up and being shown to be OK before Jean-Pierre returns to the podium.

Returning to the podium, Jean-Pierre acknowledged that the room was “hot.”
“Does anyone need water?” Jean-Pierre Asked A room full of reporters.
