Novak Djokovic to compete at 2024 Olympics in Paris after successful knee surgery

The news comes amid uncertainty over Djokovic’s health ahead of Wimbledon.

The player underwent surgery in Paris after tearing the meniscus in his right knee, and vowed on social media to return “as soon as possible”.

“I’m still taking it all in, but I’m happy to report that the surgery went well,” he said in the X post.

“I will do my best to stay healthy and in shape so I can return to the court as soon as possible. My love for this sport is strong and my desire to compete at the highest level is what drives me.”

Djokovic appears to be making good on that promise, posting a video to social media over the weekend showing his “progress” in his rehabilitation in the gym.
