‘Hawaii Five-0,’ ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ Actor Taylor Wily Dead at 56

Actor, sumo wrestler and martial artist Taylor Wiley has passed away at his home in Hawaii at the age of 56.

The cause of death of the 6-foot-2, 434-pound actor has not been released.

News of his death was confirmed by a Hawaiian broadcast station. KITV Television.

Hawaii Five-O Executive producer Peter M. Lenkov mourned the loss on Instagram, writing, “I am devastated. My heart is broken. I will post more feelings later. It’s just too painful right now.”

The giant became the first American sumo wrestler in the 1980s and compiled a record of 57 wins, 27 losses and 14 draws over two seasons of sumo.

Wiley then competed as one of the fighters at the first UFC event in November 1993, but lost to Gerard Gordeau.
