It’s time for the truth to come out: the President of the United States is behaving like a dictator.
I’m not saying this to be provocative or to stir up baseless controversy. I’m saying it because it’s true. Nearly four years into my term, the evidence is irrefutable.
President Joe Biden believes there are no limits to his power. When he encounters constitutional limitations or constraints on his ability to implement his far-left policies, he simply oversteps them and tramples the highest law of the land.
For example, on Tuesday, the president Announced A bold attempt to offer citizenship to 500,000 illegal immigrants already residing in the United States, despite the complete lack of constitutional authority to do so. Hilariously, he called his plan an “immigrant bailout” policy.
Amazingly, he did not even try to hide the fact that he was enacting this drastic measure without the approval of the legislature.
“The first bill I introduced when I was president was an immigration bill that included this provision, but it never got passed.” Biden confessed. Within seconds of taking the microphone at the White House on Tuesday, he corrected himself: “We needed a little bit more help. But now, today, a significant portion of it is on its way.” [enacted] By executive order.”
Meanwhile, Biden continues to lie about the border crisis. “Over the last three years, the President acted to secure our border while Congress failed to act,” the White House said. Pretended “President Biden believes our border must be secured,” he said in a press release.
Of course, anyone who’s been paying attention knows Biden is gaslighting us. In fact, as NPR reports: report January 21, 2021: “On his first day in office, the newly inaugurated Biden administration quickly took two major steps to dismantle much-criticized Trump-era immigration policies,” including suspending deportations and ending his predecessor’s signature “Remain in Mexico” policy within 24 hours of taking office, marking the beginning of a dismal immigration record that has seen more than one million migrants admitted. Ten million In less than four years, illegal immigration has skyrocketed.
But now, with an election looming, his immigration policies are hurting his popularity (recent polls show 64% of registered voters Biden, unhappy with the way his administration has handled immigration, is trying to whitewash the record, but he can’t have both: He can’t claim to “secure the border” while encouraging illegal immigration with an easy path to amnesty.
Of course, what Biden really wants are votes. While he caters to those who hold him responsible for the border crisis, he is trying to buy votes from another demographic by offering citizenship to hundreds of thousands of illegal border crossers, hoping to get them to vote for him in the next election. But discerning Americans will see through this ploy.
Biden is wielding his magic wand and recklessly exercising unconstitutional power to award voters cool, shiny prizes. As Rush Limbaugh famously said, “It’s hard to beat Santa Claus.” But at what cost?
Voters are naturally attracted to candidates who promise them everything they want, right now, with no strings attached. But that’s exactly the kind of promise ambitious tyrants make. Whether they offer massive amnesty or stealing other people’s money to forgive student loans, they lure voters with lawless bait. And once voters take the bait, they further abuse the law and constitutional norms to consolidate their power.
Biden is trying to woo us, but his plan may backfire. Even Hispanic voters are averse to illegal immigration, and now the majority Support mass deportations Of illegal immigrants.
Ultimately, we must hope that voters will recognize the authoritarian nature of Biden’s actions. This president has no qualms about overstepping his bounds. There are no limits to what Biden will do to win votes, and that is what makes him dangerous. Our country, our Constitution, and our Republican form of government are not safe as long as he sits on the throne he built for himself.
