Former President Trump said he knows who he will pick as his running mate, but hasn’t revealed the name to anyone yet.

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee told reporters this weekend that he has chosen his running mate.

“In my opinion, yes,” Trump said Saturday at a Philadelphia retail store when asked by NBC News whether he had chosen a running mate.

Asked if his pick knew, the former president replied, “No, nobody knows.”

Trump added that his pick would “probably” attend the first debate between Trump and Biden in Atlanta on Thursday.

“They’re going to be there,” the former president added. “I think there’s going to be a big turnout.”

Trump and Biden are aiming to put each other on the defensive in post-debate rallies in those states.

Trump was also interviewed by Fox News’ Alexis McAdams during the retail stop, where he discussed the timing of announcing his running mate.

“I’ll make an announcement around convention time,” Trump reiterated to Fox News, referring to the Republican National Convention, which begins in Milwaukee on Monday, July 15.
