DJ Burns signed to Cavaliers’ Summer League roster after going undrafted

DJ Burns is getting his chance.

Going undrafted, he signed with the Cavaliers and was added to their summer league roster. According to Cleveland.com.

Barnes emerged as one of the top stars in college basketball last year after leading 11th-seeded North Carolina State to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament.

He led the Wolfpack to an ACC Tournament title and a berth in the Big Dance.

He averaged 12.9 points per game last year.

His muscular physique and approachable personality made him a fan favorite.

In May, he told The Athletic’s Shams Charania that he had lost 45 pounds in an effort to improve his draft rating.

“There’s been a lot of talk about his size, his build, his weight,” Charania said. “I saw him at his pro day yesterday and he looked like a totally different person. … He said he’s not doing Ozempic. He said he trains four days a week at 5 a.m..”
