She needed to confirm flight authorization.
As if requests to swap seats weren’t annoying enough, now it appears that pushy passengers are snatching plane seats without permission.
Shocked passengers said their seats had been taken by entitlement-seeking women and they were asked to sit elsewhere. According to a trending post on Reddit.
One anonymous passenger on the eight-hour flight, whose destination was not disclosed, explained that they had not “paid extra” for a seat and had chosen to sit in their assigned spot.
Luckily, this passenger managed to get a window seat, which was a nice touch considering the length of the journey.
“I wanted to sleep with the wall next to the window seat as my support,” recalls one avid Redditor.
But passengers’ dreams of a relaxing flight were shattered when they boarded the plane and saw a “woman” already sitting in their seat.
To make matters worse, the Sky Barbarians seemed in no mood to budge.
“She said, ‘Oh I didn’t know. You can sit here,’ and pointed to the middle seat,” the demure passenger explained.

Unfortunately, the flyers ended up giving in to the ridiculous proposal.
“I’m not good with confrontation so I just accepted it,” the Reddit user lamented, asking commenters what they would do if they were in that position.
Luckily, sympathetic Reddit users were quick to offer up plenty of suggestions, with one person advising, “Just say, ‘window seat please,’ and if that doesn’t work, tell a flight attendant.”
“My response is always ‘Yeah, fine’ and I just stare until they make a move,” another said.
One passenger advised people to tell the attacker, “No, that’s not possible. I want my seat.”
Another suggested that posters could “feign ignorance” to avoid appearing confrontational.
“Look at your boarding pass, say, ‘My seat is 35A,’ then look up to see the seating arrangement,” they wrote, advising passengers to “act confused” and ask what their ticket says, then call a flight attendant to “tell them” there had been a “mistake.”
Her mannerisms in telling Reddit users to sit in the middle led many to assume that the woman had purposely taken the passenger seat.
One person recalled encountering a similar situation on an airplane.
“A guy tried to take my seat and put me in the middle seat across the aisle so he could sit with his wife and teenager. I was like, ‘No thanks, I chose this seat on purpose when I checked in,'” they recalled. “He threw a tantrum and tried to put me in the middle seat with him, and a flight attendant swooped in like a goddess and told him to move.”
The commenter continued, “Still groaning, he made his way to the other side and slammed his head against the baggage compartment so hard that three rows of passengers gasped. To my surprise, I was sitting next to my wife and child and they didn’t say a word to each other the entire flight.”
